Cats and neighbours

My neighbour has just complained that my cats r pooping on their property and leaving dead rats in their yard.
What can I do, I keep my cats inside at nite and a lot of the day. I did suggest that they hose them if they see them on their property, is there something I can spray to deter them. Thanks for your help. Cheers Deb peryer

RESPONSE:

Your neighbours should be happy that your cats are catching their rats. I doubt they are killing them on other property and gifting them.

Your suggestion that they spray water at them if they are seen on their property is a good idea.

Next time you talk to them point out that the rats being caught is a free service they are providing so they might consider being more tolerant of the visits.
