My cat attacked by my dog

My cat was attacked by my dog 5 days ago. Has 2 Bite sounds on leg and a small fracture. After attack he was hisding and his tongue was stcking out a little bit and he refused to eat. Took him to vet. They have him Buprenorphie ICU AT 5no btl. His tongue is still hanging out, he isn't eating, he is hissing and staying under bed. When I pick.him up he urinated all over. Vet told me that animals deal with this drug differently and it will just take time to wear off. Is that true? He doesn't seem much better. I wondered if his condition is neurological or because of the pain med. He was also given Cinvenia 80mg/10 pwdr. Just really worried about him.

RESPONSE:

This drug should wear off in around 8 hours and it sound like more than that amount of time has passed so it makes me think he's had an allergic reaction to the drug.

The drug is very strong, like morphine. It does dull pain and the cat may be lethargic, weak, and breathing may slow. But this sounds different. I strongly suggest you get the cat back to the vet as soon as you can to get the issue resolved.
