Redness and blister on bottom lip

My cat woke up this morning with redness and a small blister on the bottom lip. Is this serious? Should I make an appointment at the vet?

RESPONSE:

It could be a minor issue where the lip got scratched, however, if it lasts more than a few days I would suggest a vet visit to examine it thoroughly to prevent an infection and acceleration to a more serious problem.
