Dog-sitting two canines in my home.

I adopted a 9 year old cat 7 months ago. She once disappeared for 4 days but since her return she has always remained within calling distance and that was several months ago. Prior to getting her I used to babysit two labs (7yr old and 3yr old males) and they are apparently in need of babysitting again for a few days. Sophie the cat apparently likes dogs but not cats (SPCA information), and is certainly familiar with the dog smells in my house as I had my own lab up until last year. I would like advice in how to introduce them without Sophie going awol again. She is not a timid cat and seems quite sure of herself. Her only aggression towards us is that she hisses if anyone passes her in the hall. I just smile and consider it a quirk of hers....

Thanks,

Laurie Gillies
